I'd like to thank you for being a part of Pakish Hosting. Over the past few months we have been investing heavily into a new server setup in a top tier datacenter facility, DimeNOC (HostDime) located in Florida. Starting June we will begin migrating our US servers over to this facility.

In this email we will be outlining some questions you may have related to this migration, though if you have any concerns or questions not covered here feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected]

Once your server is approaching it's migration date we will be following up with another email beforehand and again once the migration starts.

Why DimeNOC?
DimeNOC is a datacenter facility run by HostDime and is considered to be one of the most respected top tier datacenter providers in the United States. Customer satisfaction is and always has been a top priority for us and after evaluating several datacenter providers they really stood out to us sharing the same core values.

Will there be any server changes?
There are two significant changes on the new servers, starting with upgrading all CPUs to Dual E5-2620 v4's with 16 cores and 32 threads per server.
The second change will be the addition of LSCache. This is a highly customisable high-performance page cache for dynamic content built into LiteSpeed Web Server. This provides significant performance improvements for PHP applications, specifically Wordpress through the LSCache Wordpress plugin.

My account is located in Dallas and/or Los Angeles
As part of this migration we will no longer be offering Dallas or Los Angeles Locations though having done extensive research into this new facility we strongly believe it is a significant upgrade on our current datacenter options. Not just in connectivity but with improved redundancy systems to ensure we can meet our guarantees and exceed expectations.

Will there be any downtime?
We have taken a significant amount of time to prepare for this migration and are confiedn you will not experience any downtime during the migration but DNS propogation may cause by the downtime of few hours

Do I have to do anything?
For the majority of you no action is required. However if you are using a remote DNS provider you will need to update the IP address your website is hosted on. To be clear if you are using our nameservers, or our nameserver IPs with custom nameservers, no action is needed.

Again, we thank you for being a loyal customer of Pakish Hosting. If you have any questions or concerns related to this migration I welcome you all to reach out to me directly and I will clarify any concerns you have. You can reach me on [email protected].
