Coolify Self-Hosted Platform Setup

Deploy one agreed application on your own server with platform access, HTTPS checks and a documented handover.

What is Coolify Self-Hosted Platform Setup?

Our Coolify setup service prepares an agreed Linux server, secures platform access, connects a repository and deploys one agreed application with domain routing and HTTPS checks. We assess the server and existing workloads first, then agree backup ownership, secrets handling and rollback. This is a setup project, not an unlimited migration or a managed uptime guarantee. Server rental, storage and ongoing maintenance are separate costs.

Problems This Service Solves

  • Manual deployments without a repeatable build and release process.
  • Unclear ownership of platform access, app configuration and persistent data.
  • A new self-hosted platform without a tested application release or recovery procedure.

Ideal Use Cases

  • A supported application with a repository and documented build command.
  • A small team willing to own server patching and ongoing operational decisions.
  • A staging or fresh server suitable for a controlled initial deployment.

When This Service Is Not the Right Fit

  • Replacing a busy production control plane without a migration plan and verified backups.
  • An application whose operating-system or network requirements are not supported.
  • Expecting a one-time installation to include continuous operations, unlimited applications or high availability.

What's Included

✓Server and workload suitability review before installation.
✓Coolify configuration with restricted platform access and securely stored secrets.
✓One agreed repository/application deployment and domain/HTTPS routing.
✓Application health, persistent-storage and redeployment checks.
✓Backup ownership and rollback runbook with operator handover.

What We Need From You

  • Authorized server access, target domain/DNS access and repository permissions.
  • Build/start commands, required environment variables and persistent-data requirements.
  • Current backup and an approved change window if the server already hosts production workloads.

Discovery and Implementation Stages

  1. 1. Review the target

Check supported Linux, capacity, existing workloads and network/backup requirements.

  2. 2. Configure and deploy

Configure platform access and the agreed application using a controlled candidate or staging path.

  3. 3. Verify and hand over

Check HTTPS, restart/redeploy behavior and persistent data; document rollback and responsibility for maintenance.

Integration Dependencies

  • Supported Linux and sufficient capacity for both the platform and the actual application.
  • Working DNS, permitted network ports and repository authorization.
  • Separate provision for database recovery and persistent volumes when required.

Security and Privacy Considerations

  • Use task-specific access and transfer credentials through a secure channel.
  • Back up affected configuration and data before an approved production change.
  • Restrict logs to operational evidence; redact personal data and secrets from the handover.

Failure and Fallback Handling

  • Test a candidate or staging environment before activation where available.
  • Stop and restore the previous configuration if agreed health or functional checks fail.
  • Record unresolved third-party dependencies rather than silently disabling security or business features.

Acceptance Criteria

  • The agreed application responds on its intended HTTPS hostname.
  • A controlled redeployment works with the agreed configuration and persistent data.
  • Platform access, backup ownership and rollback instructions are documented and reviewed.

Factors Affecting Delivery Time

  • Availability of source code, staging access and a current backup.
  • Application complexity, third-party dependencies and approval of the change window.
  • Time required for representative functional checks and customer acceptance.

Post-Launch Support Scope

  • Receive the agreed configuration changes, verification results and an operator handover.
  • The proposal defines the initial correction/support window; ongoing maintenance is a separate agreement.
  • Additional apps, migrations and feature work require a revised scope.

Engagement model

A scoped assessment and implementation project. We agree the affected systems, access, acceptance checks, change window and support terms before work begins. Hosting, software subscriptions and ongoing operations are quoted separately.

Coolify Self-Hosted Platform Setup FAQs

Common questions about our Cloud & DevOps service.

No. The listed starting price is for a scoped setup. Server rental, storage, provider subscriptions, extra applications and ongoing monitoring or upgrades are agreed separately.
We assess conflicts first. A fresh or staging server is preferable where possible. Production migration requires a separate inventory, backup and cutover plan; we do not overwrite an existing platform as a routine installation step.
